Terms of Service

Welcome to Seriously. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Seriously website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Findmate, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Seriously,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use online dating services where you live to use Seriously. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and your own.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep that information current, and to complete our identity and video verification process honestly.

You may only create one account, and you may not transfer your account to anyone else.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate any person, misrepresent your age or identity, or post content that is not your own;
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose (including solicitation, advertising, or recruiting) without our written permission;
• Post or send content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise harmful;
• Attempt to access another member's account or any non-public area of the Service;
• Scrape, copy, or store member data; reverse engineer any part of the Service; or interfere with its normal operation;
• Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or these Terms.

4. Verification

A core promise of Seriously is that the people you meet are real. To support that, members are required to complete a short video verification that is reviewed by a member of our trust team. We may decline, revoke, or re-request verification at our discretion.

5. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, profile text, and messages you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we believe could harm the community.

6. Paid Features

Seriously is free to join and use. We may offer optional paid features. If you purchase a paid feature, the terms of that purchase will be shown at the time of checkout. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase, payments are non-refundable.

7. Safety and Reporting

You can block any member or report a profile that violates these Terms. Reports go to our trust team and are typically reviewed within hours. We may suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Seriously is not a background-check service. Always use common sense when interacting with other members. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including those on content, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any member, match, or conversation will lead to a specific outcome.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seriously and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Seriously harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms or Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, when changes are material, give you reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
