This Privacy Policy explains how Findmate, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Seriously,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Seriously website and services (the “Service”).

The short version: we collect only what we need to run the Service, we never sell your personal information, and you can delete your account at any time.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account details — your name, email address, date of birth, location, and the answers you choose to share on your profile.
• Photos and videos — the images you upload and the verification video you record for our trust team.
• Messages — the conversations you exchange with other members through the Service.
• Support requests — anything you send to us at support@seriously.app or through in-app forms.

Information collected automatically

• Device and log data — your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps. We use this for security and debugging.
• Usage analytics — aggregated, privacy-preserving stats about how the Service is used, so we can improve it.
• Cookies — small files used to keep you signed in and remember preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Service may stop working.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and provide the Service, including matching you with other members and delivering messages;
• Verify identities and keep our community free of bots, fake profiles, and bad actors;
• Respond to your support requests and communicate important updates;
• Improve the Service, debug issues, and develop new features;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited circumstances:

• With other members — your profile (the information you choose to make visible) is shared with other verified members so they can decide whether to connect.
• With service providers — trusted vendors that help us host infrastructure, process payments, send transactional email, or analyze usage. They are bound to use the information only to perform services for us.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, court order, or legitimate legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members, the public, or Seriously.
• In a business transfer — if Seriously is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We'll let you know if that happens.

4. Your Choices and Rights

• Edit your profile — you can change or remove information on your profile at any time from within the Service.
• Block and report — you can block any member from contacting you and report anyone who violates our Terms.
• Email preferences — every non-essential email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Delete your account — you can delete your account at any time. When you do, we delete your profile and associated content from our active systems; backups containing residual data are overwritten on a routine cycle.
• Access, correction, portability, and deletion requests — depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California). To exercise these rights, email support@seriously.app.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (for example, to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes).

6. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to keep your information safe.

7. Children

Seriously is intended only for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. International Users

Seriously is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, when changes are material, give you reasonable notice.
